🔦 Calculate Antenna Tilt & Azimuth to target complaint location

INPUT 📝

Serving Site [Lat,Lng]    (A)
Target Place [Lat,Lng]   (B)
Antenna-Height   (m), from ground *
Target-Height       (m). from ground **
Antenna Beam    (degree), Horizontal ***
Vertical Beam      (degree), Vertical ****

* Tips: Right Click on map to get Lat/Lng
RESULT 📛 📐

Azimuth (°deg)  A ➪ B  direction to target
Antenna Tilt (°deg) **    direction to target
➥ Distance Site⇔Target (m)
➥ Horizontal Coverage   (m) at target point
➥ Vertical Coverage      (m) at target point
** Antenna Titl (+) : refer to Down-Tilt, (-) : Up-Tilt

Calculation of Antenna up/down Tilt & Azimuth

Purpose to increase the coverage signal strength to the specific target location such as complaint area, building etc,.
INPUT and RESULT:
    INPUT :
  • Serving Site [Lat,Lng]: Location of serving cell which we plan to serve the coverage.
  • Target Place [Lat,Lng]: Location of target place (complaint location for building) which we plan to improve signal strength.
  • Antenna-Height: Height of serving antenna from ground level.
  • Target-Height: Height of target location from ground level.
  • Antenna Beam: Horizontal beamwidth at (half power) .
  • Vertical Beam: Vertical beamwidth at (half power) .
  • Antenna Beam: Horizontal beamwidth at (half power) .
    RESULT :
  • Azimuth (°deg)  A ➪ B  : The direction from serving cell pointing to target location complaint for building .
  • ➥ Antenna Tilt (°deg) : Antenna Down Tilt or Up Tilt which pointed to target location .
  • ➥ Distance Site⇔Target : Distance from serving cell to target location .
  • ➥ Horizontal Coverage : The horizontal coverage length at the target location (max width) .
  • ➥ Vertical Coverage : The vertical coverage height at the target location (max height) .

Vertical Antenna installation

This commonly use for panel antenna.

Horizontal Antenna installation

This is not common used for panel antenna. But in some special case, we might use it to cover the high building by using the panel antenna, that mean we switch the horizontal beamwidth vs vertical beamwidth to make narrow coverage of horizontal and increase coverage of vertical to support the high of building. We don't recommend this solution for long term use, but it will help for short term while we don't have the indoor system (DAS) yet. However the side loop might affect to the neighboring coverage.
